Child Mind Institute Features Willow Rossi, MS, OTR/L, and her facility dog, Tippy

Jan 21, 2013

The Child Mind Institute recently featured Progressive Pediatrics’ Occupational Therapist, Willow Rossi, MS, OTR/L, and her facility dog, Tippy, in an article describing how animals help children overcome challenges of daily living. Tippy is used during therapy to not only motivate the children to have fun but to also work on specific skills. The article highlights how Tippy was able to help a child who has sensory processing issues visit the dentist successfully.

The article also features Hippotherapy, a therapeutic program using horses. Progressive Pediatric Therapy will soon be offering Hippotherapy to its clients in the Palm Beach area. Read the Child Mind Institute’s great article by clicking the link below.
