Pediatric Sports Rehab

Therapists at Progressive Pediatric Therapy understand the unique developmental, physical, and social/emotional needs of the young athlete up to 13 years of age.  Our goal in post injury rehab is to allow the young athlete to return to his/her previous level of function using play as motivation during therapy.  Each therapy session is customized to meet the specific needs of the individual athlete to optimize performance and minimize lost playing time.

Therapy sessions typically consist of strengthening and endurance activities, improving range of motion and muscle flexibility, as well as balance training, core stability, improving timing, and coordination.

Our therapists are trained to work with the young athlete who suffers from any of the following:

Types of Injuries Treated:
  • Overuse injuries
  • Traumatic injuries
  • ACL injuries and reconstruction
  • Meniscus tears of the knee
  • Shoulder injuries
  • Patellar pain / subluxation
  • Joint sprain / instability
  • Muscle strains
  • Tendonitis
  • Low back pain / injury
  • Other sports related injuries
